P&P Clay is one of those products you just have to try to believe, and by believe, we mean flip your SH*T over the non-greasy, volume added, no shine, and styling control P&P Clay offers. Clay adds body and thickness that makes hair feel fatter. The light, non-gritty formula absorbs quickly, making it the ideal product for men with thin or thinning hair. Get you some, Clay-Boy!
How It Holds: Medium hold, no shine, light texture, great for thin hair of all lengths but also works great with thick hair.
How It Smells: Like a man should- fresh, non- flowery, slightly earthy... if earth smelled like a freshly bathed TIGER!
How to Use: Open can, remove small dime size amount of this gray gold, place in palm, rub hands gently... nice and slow (don't need to beat this one up). Work into damp or dry hair, style, and kick ass!
*Don't hate the "Clay-er", hate his mane! (Okay, I'll stop now.)

I have a lot of hair made up of fine individual hairs. I like to wear it short but have a pronounce cow like in the very front. P&P Clay is the best product I have used. Much better than any American crew product that I had been using for years. So glad I found this site. I also bought the comb and brush combo.
The good, it does exactly what it says and works really well with my hair. The bad? well i’m ending up having to use much more than a dime size amount, and with the size of the package itself i’ll be lucky if i last 2 full months with it. I love the product, but wish it was bigger.
I have fine/thinning hair and I've tried a lot of different products but they kept making my hair too heavy and making it look even thinner (thick strands). Let's just say I didn't have high expectations when purchasing this because of my experience. I've been combining this clay with P&P sea salt spray for a week now, and my god is this the best result I've had on my hair in ages. It *really* does make my hair feel and look thicker with a lot of texture! Of course it's very easy to apply as well.
I only wish that it would have just a tad bit more hold. The hold isn't terrible but if it's windy outside you would need to correct your hair every now and then, which is the reason for four and not five stars. Also, the smell isn't my favorite, but that's just my individual opinion which obviously differ from person to person.
In the end of the day I DO recommend this product, and combining it with the sea salt spray just makes it better!
I've jumped from hair product to hair product. I was always looking for something like a pomade where I get medium hold with no stickiness. I hate having stiff hair and worst of all I hate running my hands through my hair and getting residue on them. I've been a fan of Aaron's videos and wanted to see how his hair product line can work out. The guy is beyond passionate about style and his products so that gave me incentive. I picked the Clay since it's most like a cream and it specifically says it's great for thin hair. Alas my hair is getting a bit thin and was tired of using sticky hair products and losing a bunch of hairs when I styled my hair.
I'm quite happy with it. It does everything I want it to. Gives me great medium hold and no residue whatsoever! Where does it go?? My hair is locked in place but I can still touch it without getting my hands sticky.
The container is a bit small but it does say not too use too much. I use a nickel size portion and it does the job. It's a cream so you may think you may need more than you initially use but it's not the case. After a minute or two it kinda "stiffens" but very lightly so you do still get medium hold. It has the consistency of lotion but a little bit is all you need.
The scent description was quite vague so here's what it smells like. First thing I smell is just regular lotion, and definitely earthy. No wonder it's called Clay. Not quite a straight up "clay" smell. Just nice smelling lotion. I'll buy again.
Pete & Pedro Clay absolutely lives up to what it offers, especially for thinning hair. If you're like me, where I have gradual frontal thinning, this is a great product for you.
It's nice and creamy out of the can, and doesn't take as much effort to emulsify in the hands. When applied to the hair, it transfers easily, and immediately adds volume and texture. For more dense-textured products like Putty, the emulsifying is a bit harder, and the products tend to tackier, so that when it's applied to thinning hair, it runs the risk of yanking some of the already-fragile hairs out from the head while trying to style (not putting down Putty; I use it too and love it!). Clay is great for thinning hair, since it goes on very easily, adds texture and volume, and it's very easy to style the hair with; if I style it one way and then decide I want to do it another way, I can easily just manipulate it without having the hair set in too hard, and without leaving a residue on my hands. Because of the added texture and volume, it is superior to other heavier, shinier products, that weigh the hair down; it thus helps disguise thinning hair so that scalp doesn't show as easily. Plus, it smells great and comes in a cool, modern container.
Overall, an excellent product. C8
